Happy Christmas, Everyone!
We open for a couple of Sundays before Christmas, with a late evening on Thursday 15th December. Other details here:
The shop will be closed on Sundays during the autumn / winter period, from the first Sunday in October to the last Sunday in April (please note this change).
WINTER OPENING OCTOBER TO APRIL
Weekdays: 10.00 - 17.30
Saturdays: 9.30 - 17.30
Not surprisingly, there is a bit of a theme to our anniversary window.
We would be delighted to see our friends, supporters and customers on 'Silver Saturday', if able to make it. We plan to be festive from 10 in the morning, rounding off the day at 6pm with some appropriately themed poems in the garden (thanks to our friends at Swan Theatre in Bedford.)
At least 20% discount will be offered on all books and ephemera on the day, with trade deals possible as well.
You are very welcome to join us on Saturday 3rd September as we celebrate 25 years of The Eagle Bookshop.
We are offering a minimum of 20% discount on all our books on the day, whether it's a bargain 'one-pounder' from the popular Sale Room or a rare item from one of the display cabinets. Dealers are very welcome - we can be even more generous with trade deals.
For local customers, we will have some very tempting special items of rare Bedfordshire history.
Expect competitions and a bit of a party atmosphere as well.

The shop will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August and open again as normal from Tuesday 30th.
On Silver Saturday, 3rd September - our 25th Anniversary Day - the shop will be open from 10am to 6pm.
More details to follow, but on Saturday 3rd September we celebrate 25 years of The Eagle Bookshop!
Expect a bit of a party atmosphere, discounts on the day and some special offers....
This little machine is working overtime at the moment as the shop begins the process of collecting 50,000 books from around the country. Once a year, on average, we get a call to a house full of books. Really full, I mean, where the carpet is just a distant memory and you find books in the fridge. Such buys are always exciting, especially for our bank manager. Well now, like London buses, five have come in at once!
Visitors to the shop may notice some changes...
We are closed today, Bank Hoilday Monday, 30th May.
Open as normal tomorrow!
