This book endeavours to give a record of the principal earthworks and their plans within Bedfordshire with the hope that disseminating this knowledge of their charm and beauty may attract further study of this particular branch of archaeology. Periods covered are the prehistoric period, Saxon and Danish periods, the Norman period, and the later periods with a focus on manors and domestic homesteads.
Condition
With slight bumping to the corners and faint wear to the head and foot of spine, externally very clean. Front free endpaper shows heavy foxing, remainder showing little to no foxing throughout.
