John Berridge was an Anglican evangelical revivalist and hymnist and served, amongst other roles over the course of his lifetime, as the vicar of Everton, Bedfordshire. J. C. Ryle wrote that as one of "the English evangelists of the eighteenth century" Berridge was "a mighty instrument for good."

Bound here is a letter from Berridge himself to a clergyman detailing certain specifics of his life and conversion as well as an attached elegy and the epitaph on his tombstone, written by himself. 

Condition

Crisp and clean modern binding with no faults. Internally very clean with occasional subtle foxing.
