Alan gerard Fletcher (1931 - 2006) was described as the most highly-regarded graphic designer of his generation, and probably the most prolific. He was noted for the use of bold colours and humorous graphic design approach to advertsing and branding.

This book looks at thirty-five years of Fletcher's work and examines his design process, the thinking behind his work and the methods used. Each example is accompanied by a full commentary by Jeremy Myerson, and four essays give further critical and biographical insight to the work and the man.
