Ouse Muse returns after the summer break, with guest reader Jeff Hilson.  

Jeff Hilson is a poet, critic, editor and teacher. He has written five books of poetry: Stretchers (Reality Street, 2006), Bird bird (Landfill, 2009), In The Assarts (Veer, 2010), Latanoprost Variations (Boiler House Press, 2017) and Organ Music (Crater Press, 2020).

He edited The Reality Street Book of Sonnets (Reality Street, 2008) and runs Xing the Line poetry reading series in London with the poet Iris Colomb.

There will also be the usual open mic section, open to anyone with poetry or short prose to share. 

Doors open at 19:45 for an 8 o'clock start.

There's no need to book, an entrance fee of £5 is paid upon arrival. If you wanted to pick up a book or two from our shelves you can use this entrance ticket as a £5 voucher for the rest of the month.
